Crosshaven Instructor Mr Tommy Burns was honoured at this years’ CMAP Awards last Saturday night (1st February) receiving the “Community Spirit” award in recognition for his continued contributions to the Tae Kwon-Do community across Cork.
The 4th Degree septuagenarian is an inspiration to the younger generation and an encyclopaedia of knowledge and history to those lucky enough to keep his company.
No matter the day, event or group Mr Burns will attend and support Tae Kwon-Do in all its forms and is a well known beloved face across the TKD community.
The Cork Martial Arts Promotion Awards (now in its 11th year) is the brainchild of Mr. Leonard Coughlan, and is designed to recognise excellence, dedication and outstanding achievement across all martial arts in a number of categories.
